Deirdre's thoughts and moods reflect quite a number of different dreams.  Although I wrote the dialogue between Sarge and the medic, it presages a dream that you'll learn more about soon.  And Kiril did, at some point, start riding in the commissary cart.  And, of course, the fart-in-a-bottle passage reflects what would likely result after the short dream that introduced the idea.
