I made up the Merrill and Zanne bit.  I also wrote Deirdre’s thoughts, but based on actual feelings in various dreams.  At this point it really started to hit her, how often she kept losing people before she’d had time to deal with the prior losses.

I dreamed the meal on deck.  Quite a number of countries in Novatierre have the same right-to-left format for eating meals, and it has crept into my own habits.  I also dreamed of Merrill and Zanne taking separate missions, and later (in my time, earlier in theirs) of Zanne considering whether or not to take a vacation in Darvinia first, and whether or not to take Merrill along.  Those two have never had a simple relationship.

I wrote the meeting with the Abojans, but I dreamed of their home, and especially of Deni’s embroidery.  Some of those dreams included Father Man, who started to show up in my theater of the night after I first wrote of him.  And I did dream of being Kanarik trying to dance for Damien, but I wrote Damien’s thoughts.
